Kamal Jain Pledges Term Limit and More

You already know that no other candidate for State Auditor from any party is as committed to Total Transparency as Kamal Jain.  Other candidates claim they will tell the people what they need to know, but Kamal Jain will let the people see everything themselves. No filters, no spin, no biases — everything relevant to spending and operations will be online (with the proper security and privacy safeguards).

Kamal Jain is taking a pay cut and putting his career on hold to serve the people as their Auditor because it is so important to have the right leadership in the Auditor’s office.

In addition to his pledge of Total Transparency, of getting Every Dollar and Every Dime Online, Kamal Jain pledges:

  • To serve at most TWO TERMS as State Auditor.
  • To refuse a public pension, because politicians should not get pensions.
  • To give himself a 10% pay cut on day one, because that’s how we do things in the private sector when times are tight.

Kamal Jain was one of the first candidates to make these pledges.  There are now more and more candidates who are adopting similar pledges.  Let us hope this becomes the new norm for politicians as Total Transparency becomes the new norm for state government.
