Everyone who hears Kamal Jain’s message loves it. Republicans, Libertarians, Democrats, Tea Partiers, Independents, Conservatives, and Liberals: Everyone wants to see exactly how Beacon Hill is spending our tax money. Kamal Jain is the only candidate who will bring the Total Transparency that voters and taxpayers want.

On Saturday, September 18th, Kamal Jain will embark on an afternoon sail on the 40-foot vessel Misirlou, departing from Marblehead Harbor. Four campaign donors will be invited to join him for the four-hour sail, which will include cocktails and gourmet hors d’oeuvres.

State law limits contributions to a maximum of $500 per person, per calendar year. All donors that reach the $500 level from Memorial Day to Labor Day will be entered in a drawing for a seat on the Misirlou.

Big: Want to help the campaign make a big impact, but don’t have a lot of time? Help us distribute signs in your town. Local sign depots simply keep a supply of signs on hand and connect with neighbors and other Kamal Jain supporters in your town to arrange for pickup or delivery of signs.

Bigger: Want to make a bigger impact? Take to the streets and hold signs for Kamal Jain! Jst tell us when and where you want to do a standout (busy intersections and rotaries are best), and we’ll ask other supporters to join you. Standouts are always needed outside campaign events.

Biggest: For the biggest impact of all, volunteer a couple of hours to hold signs on Election Day. The Primary Election is Tuesday, September 14th. Is Kamal Jain a Republican…or an Independent?  Both.

My belief is that insider politics, cronyism and corruption are the root of our government’s problems.  Only those independent of the system can expose these issues to the people and help us fix the problems.  An investigation into my background and connections will reveal that I am independent to the core, with no allegiances within, or alliances to, the system.  I am as much of an outsider as can be without leaving the planet.

Political reality in America and many countries around the world is that the system is dominated by two major parties or two major coalitions.   In choosing to run for office, Republican or Democrat were the only viable options, and it is the Republican party which is home to many of my fellow patriots and kindred spirits.

Choosing a party over being a true independent was emotionally difficult, but logically obvious.  Choosing to run as a Republican was an easy choice.

The Republican Party is the party of Ron Paul, Ronald Reagan and Barry Goldwater.  It was the party of limited government and individual liberty, and still has the most advocates of those principles despite the prominence today of many Big-Government Republicans.  It is time to take back the Republican Party.

In our two-party system, heavily monopolized by the Democrat party, it is the Republican party that is fast-becoming the voice for America’s independents, and we independents are finding plenty in common with others who may label themselves “conservative, ” “moderate” or “libertarian”.

Republican Senator-elect, Scott Brown, cited independent voters as key to his election victory.  Indeed, even many Democrats agree that there is far too much power in a single party today, and that some semblance of balance must be restored to correct our nation’s and our states’ courses.

Kamal Jain is running as a Republican for Massachusetts State Auditor. In 2010, the voters will choose a Beacon Hill outsider to help THEM audit the state government.  There is still only once choice for a true independent: Kamal Jain.

Did you know that government auditing and financial auditing are completely different? Some candidates may let you think that it’s all the same, but the experts will tell you otherwise.

The truth is that there are many different kinds of auditors, each with their own specialty.

What Kind of Auditor?
If you walked into your local high school and asked for a job as a teacher, their first question would be: What kind of teacher? Are you an English teacher or a Math teacher? A History teacher or a Shop teacher? Just as teachers are highly specialized, so are auditors.

The Massachusetts State Auditor doesn’t do financial auditing. The State Auditor is responsible for government auditing, which is altogether different.

Government Auditing
So what is government auditing? Government auditing is mainly about performance and compliance auditing. The State Auditor’s Office audits all state government agencies, vendors and contractors.

In Massachusetts, the State Auditor is the chief executive of a 300-person department. There are already 200 auditors in the State Auditor’s office. We don’t need one more auditor. We need a strong leader as our next State Auditor.

An Executive Leader
We need a State Auditor with proven executive leadership skills. One with a vision and a plan to bring Total Transparency and Actual Accountability to the people of our great state. We need a State Auditor with business acumen and a penchant for efficiency.

I am the only Auditor candidate that fits the bill. I am the only candidate focused on Total Transparency and Actual Accountability. The only candidate to define transparency and present a plan for delivering it. No other candidate for State Auditor, from either party, has these credentials. None of them have a specific plan for Total Transparency.
